Welcome to the world of Bocce Ball
Daisy
Come learn and join the fun of Bocce Ball

Welcome to our web site!

First, let me welcome you to this new Bocce web page. We need your input of ideas on what you would like to see on this site. Give me  guidance, suggestions and what you think might be of value to Bocce players who visit these pages. Get in on the ride, this will be fun.

I will donate a pound of my home roasted coffee (Kenya AA or a choice of 11 others including Decaf) to the person that gives me the best suggestion, plan or idea concerning this web site. The judge is the web master.

On this home page we'll introduce you to what Bocce Ball is all about and a few of the rules. We also invite you to visit the courts and try them out and see if it may be for you. Yes, two new Bocce courts  and two new sets of Bocce Balls have just recenty been obtained at the Fairfax Senior Center.

I can post pictures, winners of tournments, schedules and other items of general interest. Sometimes I am available to take pictures, ask.

This space is for announcements of Bocce games plus  instructional/practice and special events. Let the web master pstrang@cox.net know if you have anything to  be  posted. Trying to get 4  players together? Check out the navigational button on left side of first page.

Bocce has been around since the Roman Empire and conjures visions of old Italian men wiling away warm Mediterranean days discussing politics and drinking red wine.

Bocce is closely related to lawn bowling. Bocce is played on a hard-surfae court with a backstop at each end.  Lawn bowling is played on grass with  a relatively free-form court.

You don't have to be Italian to play Bocce Ball !!
